Land between the lakes Sept. '09. I'd give it a 5 as long as you stay out of the major towns. They weren't awful but weren't great.

The northern border of KY is on the Ohio River, which is supposed to be terrible for allergies to mold.
My friend is having a terrible time in Louisville KY. Some years it is rated the #1 worst city in the whole country for allergies. Other times it is #2 or #3, still terrible. That means there are hundreds of much better places to live in terms for allergies. So I would have to rate it [1- Poor].

There are some mountainous wooded areas of KY (mostly to the east) that might work for some people. I think it depends on if you have bad reactions to tree pollens or you're more okay with those and worse with other things. I haven't been far east but I have been to one wooded county area of central KY that seems OK.

Kenlake State Park Cabins and Lodge Rating 1
I lived in a couple different cabins here for about 5 months in 2011-2012. 3 of the 4 cabins I lived in smelled of mold. I often had headaches and started to have tingling in my feet and ankles. I believe this exposure and a few hotels after this is what caused my crash in Dec 2012.
About me: I have biotoxin Illness that was triggered by working in the south for the last 2 winters and living in moldy cabins and hotels. I have the multi and mold genotypes. I am being treated by a doctor trained by Dr. Shomaker and have made great improvements. I am going to begin the last step in Shomeaker's protocol in the next few months.

KY is endemic for mold and histoplasmosis. Worst place for allergies. Spring, summer and fall are very humid. I have lived here all my life and feel it has made me sick.
Just one week by the ocean in CA last month and I finally realized the location effect is very real. When I breathed, I could feel the oxygen go all the way to the back of my head for the first time ever.
