A report from someone from Kenya, who reported being "back to normal" during a three week stay in 2002: I felt better as soon as I got off the plane in Kenya. After a 24 hour flight, Calgary - Toronto - London - Kenya, I dreaded jet lag setting in on top of CFS fatigue - it just didn't happen. Kenya has two mountains, in the north and south, so altitude varies from sea level to mountain level. We were at all levels and I didn't notice any difference in how I felt. Food was usually very basic - rice, chicken, coleslaw. I've spent the last 30 years in Calgary and feel better as soon as I leave the city, so I think city pollutants are detrimental to individuals with CFS. Also, areas where a lot of pesticides are in use, parks, camping grounds, etc. bring on my CFS symptoms. I feel best in the country, beside a river or lake.
