I spent 2 or 3 weeks in Guadalajara in spring, 2001. I returned for a couple of days in 2002. I was a 4 there. It was a rare place where I was bordering on feeling as I did pre-ME. "Guad" is a bit inland and high altitude. It has a spring like climate and is reasonably pleasant.

I spent a few days in Puerta Vallarta, on the coast in July 2002. It's a tropical climate. I was a "4", or perhaps slightly better than a 4. Like Guadalajara, it seemed to me to be a border line "well" zone. I wasn't as well as I was pre-illness, but much better than I ever was post illness in Canada or US.

A report from 2004: In my exploration for info on Mexico, I found an article by the editor of an online magazine called mexico-insights.com. For her it was the Guadelajara area. She had FM rather than CFS and she says it was debilitating while she lived in CA, then symptoms went away in Mexico and she was able to resume a normal life and became very active in the community of Ajijic, where she has now lived for several years. -Sandra health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFS_CFIDS_ME/message/728?l=1
